Sattler - Sattler Media Press

In 1975 the qualified retail merchant Udo Sattler started off with a Rotaprint press, in order to print promotional flyers quickly and reliably. Due to daily price changes in the grocery business short-term printing deadlines were and still are mandatory. Since local printers couldn’t always guarantee these deadlines Udo Sattler decided to purchase his own printing press back in January 1975. From then on he’s been printing all of his leaflets on his own – even in small numbers, if necessary, but always up-to-date.

What once started out as a temporary solution has meanwhile become one of the most successful printing works in Germany. Right now Sattler Media Press has over 250 people employed in two locations and services customers from industrial and commercial businesses who put a lot of trust in our long-lasting experience and our excellent service. Our eagerness to follow alternative ideas and to think differently (where necessary) has become a route to success for Sattler Media Press.

A new, ambitious plan was approached in 2000: Printing in new dimensions! This concept combines an almost fully automatic primary printing stage with high-tech printing machines and a completely new way of subsequent processing, achieving an utmost productivity and quality level with these innovative technical optimizations. Since it was not possible to realize this project at our location in Hornburg, we decided to establish our second printing facility in Barleben near Magdeburg in the summer of 2001, creating numerous new jobs and openings for both qualified employees and apprentices in one of Europe’s most modern printing works.
